Harry Potter mania has reached boiling point in Lacock as cast and crew begin filming the latest blockbuster movie tonight.
Villagers have been working with the crew for a number of days to help prepare the set for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Heart-throb Daniel Radcliffe is expected to film in the village at some point during the three-day shoot.
Jean Sheard, who owns the Lacock Bakery in Church Street where some of the scenes will be shot, said: "We are all extremely excited and cannot wait for the stars to come out and start filming.
"I have put on extra orders of cakes and treats for the crew who have been coming in every morning since they arrived. I am hoping Harry Potter will pop in himself and sample one of my pastries.
I am a huge fan and have read every single one of the books - it's like a dream come true for me.
"Last time Warner Brothers came to shoot here they were very secretive about everything which was really disappointing.
"But this time they have been so honest and upfront - I cannot praise the crew highly enough.
"I expect lots of fans will come down during the filming and I am hoping to stay open a little later to feed them all."
The crew have been stationed in Lacock for about a week and have already erected lighting and scenery.
They have also painted a number of houses a darker colour to make them appear more sinister to shoot scenes with the ghoulish Death Eaters.
Several homeowners along Church Street have also given producers their permission to black out windows during the night time filming. They have been supplied with black blinds to put across their windows to stop light shining in and out of their homes.
Filming began last night and will continue at 5pm through to 5am each day until Saturday morning.
Security is thought to be heavy on the site on Cantax Hill, West Street and Church Street.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: "We have four officers covering the day shift and another four officers covering the evening shift and night patrol. Our presence there is to secure the site."
