An event for the whole family is coming to Marlborough this bank holiday weekend - including duck racing.

Crofton Beam Engines is home to the world’s oldest working beam engines, which have pumped water from Wilton Water into the Kennet and Avon Canal for over 200 years.

They are hosting a special event this bank holiday weekend with a range of activities, from duck racing to a trail around the grounds.

The site will be open on Sunday, May 5 and Monday, May 6 from 10.30am to 4.30pm and there will be duck races on both days, with prizes for the first and last duck to pass under the bridge.

There are more prizes up for grabs by finding all the clues to successfully complete the special trail.

A pop-up refreshment tent will also be serving tea, coffee, soft drinks, cakes and biscuits and there is plenty of space to enjoy a picnic overlooking the canal and railway.
